Lin Shawn Peacock, 48, loving father, brother and friend to so many, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019 in Jacksonville, Florida where he lived for all of his adult life.
Shawn was born on September 14, 1970, in Madison, Florida. He was the son of the late Lin C. Peacock and Marianne Noblitt.
Shawn was a self-made man at an early age and always a hard worker. He had a career in the environmental industry and spent many years employed by CSX ensuring rail yard environmental safety and compliance and with Safety-Kleen Systems prior to that as an environmental sales and service representative. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his son, watching movies, hunting and laughing with friends and family. He shared an affection for history with his son and spent countless hours teaching and discussing details of our past.
He is survived by his son Aidan of Callahan, Florida, who was his pride and joy. He is also survived by his sister Tracy Young and her husband TJ of St. Johns, Florida; his brother Daniel and his wife Samantha of Orange Park, Florida; his nephews Tucker and Aedam and niece Raechel; his aunt Anita Ussery of Byron, Georgia and his ex-wife and life-long friend Katherine Dybalski and her husband Kevin whom he remained close with.
Shawn has left us far too soon but his memory will live on through his son and those of us who knew and loved him.
