Marc Theriault

Marc Theriault, 65 of Atlantic Beach, FL, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Memorial Hospital with his daughter by his side.
He was born in Honolulu, HI on September 9, 1953 to his late mother Marie Leola Michaud and his late father, Willard Theriault. His father was a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy and a Master Mariner in the Panama Canal. His mother was a housewife. Being a Navy Brat, Marc traveled and surfed all over the world. He finally settled in Jacksonville Beach, FL in 1985.
He is survived by his daughter, Kristen Theriault and grandson, Elijah Madera. As well as his sister, Gail Theriault and brother, Bill Theriault.
Marc was an iconic surfer around the world. On November 9, 2019, a paddle out and ashes release ceremony will be held at his favorite hometown surf spot, on the beach, at Ocean Blvd. and 10th Street in Atlantic Beach, FL from 10-11 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at Surfer the Bar from 2-5 p.m. located at 200 1st Street North, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
