Marilou Williamson Liddell of Orange Park died on February 5, 2024. She was born October 7, 1930, in Jacksonville, Florida. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Liddell, her parents, Mark and Mary Williamson, and her brother, Richard Williamson. Marilou was blessed with two sons, Stanley, Jr. and Thomas William, who survive her. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Marci King (Chris), Kiel Liddell and Marnie Shaeffer (Tim), 4 great grandsons, Cole Jowers, Westin King, Grayson and Darby Schaeffer.
Marilou was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School. She married Stanley Liddell on July 22, 1949, one day after he graduated from the University of Florida. Her greatest joy was being with her two sons and their families; especially assisting at the birth of one of her grandchildren.
Marilou retired in 1998 as Secretary-Treasurer of Stanley Liddell Construction Co. Before entering her husband's business, she was active in the Orange Park Women's Club, the Old Duval Medical Center Auxiliary, Baptist and Memorial Hospital Auxiliaries and was a founding member of the Orange Park Hospital Auxiliary. She was a founding member of the Clay County Council on Aging, Inc. and was a former Director for the Agency in Clay County. Marilou and Stan were charter members of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, FL. Where she was a past president of the Methodist Women and served on the Church Council. In 1990 they became active in Ortega United Methodist Church where she taught the Adult Koinonia Sunday School Class, attended the weekly Prayer Group, served on the Funeral Reception Committee and served on the Board of Trustees. Marilou and her husband were avid Gator fans and Marilou enjoyed playing bridge with her friends.
