Marion Joyce Wilson
August 10, 1934 — November 24, 2019
Our beloved Mother, Marion Joyce Clifton, age 85, born August 10th, 1934, daughter of late Anton (Doc) Clifton and Frankie Scarborough in Jacksonville, Florida passed away in St. Catherine's Laboure Place, Saturday, November 23, 2019, of cancer of the thyroid.
She was the third daughter of four girls (Joan, Sara, Marion, and Linda Clifton) and one younger brother (Billy Clifton).
She attended Andrew Jackson High School where she met and subsequently married her first and only love in 1951. They later divorced in 1976.
She is survived by her son, Halle L. Wilson Jr. and spouse Julie M. Wilson of Jacksonville, Florida and her Granddaughter Halee C. Wilson, two sisters, Linda Jackson and her spouse Kenneth Jackson of Riverside, Rhode Island, and Sara Newsome and her spouse Barry Newsome of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Marion was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, wife, and friend, of all the things, said about her perhaps the best was her devotion and love of family and friends, young and old, rich or poor, she cared for them all. She was just that way and she will be missed by those she touched in her life.
It would be remiss to leave out her love of her dogs, Chi-Chi and Prissy. Her complete devotion to her beloved dogs gave her much happiness and companionship.
She was a member of the Livingston Memorial Methodist Church as a child and recently a member of the Ortega United Methodist Church.

The Memorial Ceremony will be held on Saturday, December 7th, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the Naugle Funeral Home 1203 Hendricks Avenue Jacksonville, Florida.
