Martha Stanley McShea, 77, died July 11th, 2022, in Jacksonville, Florida. Martha was born in Bethesda, Maryland to the late Frank and Mary (Malloy) Stanley. The family later moved to Jacksonville, where she attended Bishop Kenny High School and graduated in 1963. She later attended Mt. Aloysius College in Cresson, Pennsylvania and lived in Washington DC and New Jersey before making Jacksonville her permanent home. Martha worked in an office environment for many years but quickly realized she had passion for working with young children and became "nanny extraordinaire" to several families. She enjoyed teaching and beamed with pride when even the smallest accomplishments were achieved. She expanded on her love of helping others and worked with both special needs and disabled adults, quickly becoming their friend, mentor and advocate. After retirement, she enjoyed activities at the senior center, especially Friday night canasta, where she was known to beat even the best players. Martha also loved shopping for arts and crafts, researching projects and creating memories with her friends, children and grandchildren. Martha had a fun sense of humor from an early age, always celebrating life's big and small moments with equal enthusiasm. She was known for her beautiful bright smile, contagious laugh and warm and caring heart. She will be remembered for her love of brownies, popovers, lobster and lemonade. She is survived by her brothers Frank (Mary) Stanley III, Peter (Tammy) Stanley, and sister Anne Stanley; her three children, Suzi (Terry) Souder, Kevin McShea, and Katie (Patrick) McClain; grandchildren Megan and Peyton Souder, Emily (Jeremy) Lounsberry, and Aidan, Ryan and Finn McClain. She is preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter Taylor Souder. Funeral Mass will take place Friday July 29th at 2pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 11757 Old St. Augustine Road. To honor the brightness that Martha brought to everyone's life, the family requests colorful cheerful attire. In lieu in flowers, donations can be made to The Oasis Caregiver Support Group <
