Mary Tyner Baker, 89, of Jacksonville FL, passed away August 20, 2023, at the Community Hospice Bailey
Family Center for Caring in St Augustine FL. She was born in her grandparents' farmhouse in
Whitehouse FL on April 5, 1934, and was the oldest of three children. She was a graduate of Lee High School. Mary worked as a Century 21 real estate agent for over thirty years, most spent with Harris Realty. She loved spending time with family and friends, traveling and eating good food. Mary loved and celebrated holidays and special occasions. She had a zest for life, saying she wanted to "see it all and do it all!" She was married to Rodney Morgan Hamilton 1952-1978 and together they had two children, Charles Morgan, and Sheryl Anne. She was married to John Arthur Baker from 1980-1988.
She is preceded in death by brothers Mark Anthony and William Henry, and son Charles Morgan. She is survived by her sister-in-law Barbara Tyner, daughter Sheryl Adams ( Barnes), 3 grandchildren Ryan Hopfensperger (Amy), Morgan Hopfensperger (Alicia), and MaryCarson Adams. Her grandchildren affectionately called her Muv. She also had 2 great grandchildren, Audrey and Vance.
A memorial service followed by refreshments will be held Friday, August 25 11:00 a.m. at Naugle Funeral Home 1203 Hendricks Avenue, Jacksonville FL 32207.
