Mary Louise ("Weezie) Plymette Malcolm was born February 4, 1924 to Elwood (Ted) Plymette and Florence Bieber Plymette in Emporium, Pennsylvania. She passed away peacefully at 95 years of age on April 4, 2019 with family by her side. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Wallace Patrick Malcolm, her parents, and her brothers Marlin and Merle Plymette and their spouses.
Mary Louise is survived by her children, Patricia Malcolm, Joyce Simon, son-in-law Bert, James Malcolm, Jeffrey Malcolm, daughter-in- law Shelly, her brother Max Plymette and his wife, Kathleen. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sean, Josie, Jenny, Aaron, Matthew, Ashley and Katie and her great grandchildren Kala, Taylor, Justice, Juliana, Jenna and Aidan.
She graduated from Watsontown High School in 1941 and moved to Washington, D.C. where she met her future husband Wallace at Georgetown Lutheran Church. Upon Wallace's return from serving in the Army in WWII, they married and continued to live and work in Washington, D.C. where 3 of their children were born. In 1963, the family moved to Melbourne, Florida where Jeffrey was born.
Mary Louise loved various crafts including needlepoint, flower pressing, card making, and chocolate making. She loved music and was a member of the church choir for many years. She was a seeker of truth and believed in the power of prayer and visualization as a tool for healing and self-enlightenment. She was loyal and faithful to family and friends and always tried to help those in need. She will be greatly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
