Michael L. Buss
December 14, 1958 — August 4, 2018
Michael L. Buss, 59, passed away Saturday August 4th, 2018 in the care of Hospice. Mike retired as Superintendent of Rules from Florida East Coast Railroad after 30 years of service.
Mike was born in Brunswick, GA and traveled the world as a Navy brat. His family settled in Jacksonville Beach where he graduated from Fletcher High School in 1976. He was the drum major for the marching band which he loved so much.
Mike is survived by his two children Clayton Buss (Ariel) and Christin Chappell (Jason), and a sister, Melissa "Lisa" Cook (Michael). Mike adored his two grandchildren, Presley and Oliver Buss, with a granddaughter on the way. Presley and Oliver loved their "Poppy" so much and the feeling was absolutely mutual. Mike is also survived by two nieces, Kelly Foster (Dan) and Allison Bond (Lorenzo) and many beloved cousins.
