Patricia Ann Gonsalves

Patricia Ann Gonsalves (nee Whitney), 75, of St. Augustine, FL passed away peacefully on November 29, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born in Pointe-a-Pierre, Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies on April 5, 1946, to the late Muriel Olimpha and George Cephas Whitney, of British Guyana.
She grew up there, with her three siblings John and George Whitney, and Gwendolyn Terry Da Silva (nee Whitney).
She attended, and graduated from, St. Peter's School, in 1963. She had many fond memories of growing up in Pointe-a-Pierre and kept in touch with many who lived there over the years.
Patricia married George Richard Gonsalves, in Pointe-a-Pierre, Trinidad, on February 17, 1968, when she was 21 years old. Later, and together with her husband, she emigrated to the United States in January of 2013, to be closer to their son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
She is survived by him, her husband of 53 years; her siblings Gwendolyn Terry Da Silva (nee Whitney) of Houston, TX; John Whitney of Teignmouth, UK; George Whitney of Bequia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines; Eli Whitney of Vancouver, Canada; her children Nicole Ann Brook (nee Gonsalves) of Harrogate, UK, and her son Craig Phillip Gonsalves, his wife, Alicia, and their children Emma and Ethan, of St. Johns, FL; her son-in-law Ian Stuart Brook; step-grand-children Oliver and Eva Brook; nephews and nieces Dominic Da Silva, Dana Saranathan (nee Da Silva), Michael, Michelle and Anthony Cheeping, Anna and Charles Whitney (UK), Jason and Wayne Gonsalves, Kysha De Cabral, Anna Whitney (NY), Michelle Leslie (nee Whitney), Paola Duca (nee Ponchielli), Marco Ponchielli, Natalie and Stefan Abraham, Ethan and Stephen Whitney and, preceded in death, by Christopher Vaughan.
A Catholic funeral Mass will be held on December 15, 2021, 11:00am at San Juan Del Rio, Catholic church located at 1718 State Road 13, North, St. Johns, FL 32259.
