Patricia Miller

Patricia Bevis Miller, 87 died on December 26th, 2024 at Community Hospice of Jacksonville. She was born in Gainesville, Florida on January 25th, 1937 to Hilory and Myrleen Bevis. She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1955 where she enjoyed performing as a majorette. She went on to attended the University of Florida earning her Bachelors of Education. She taught in elementary schools for several years before accepting a position with the Duval County School Board where she worked in administration hiring teachers for over 30 years. She was married to her husband Jack for 54 years. They enjoyed traveling and spent a lot of time in their mountain home in Spruce Pine NC. Patricia loved Riverside Presbyterian Church where she had a circle group of friends that she met with often.Patricia cherished her friend Linda Lampkin. They met when Linda became her care giver. Their relationship developed into a friendship and then a sisterhood. She had a generous, kind and loving spirit and will be dearly missed by all of her friends and family. She is predeceased by her parents, Hilory and Myrleen, her brother Vance and her husband Jack. She is survived by her niece, Kelley, and nephews, Scott, Matthew, Wayne and Ryan. Patricia's family would like to extend their profound appreciation for the loving and dedicated care her caregiver Linda Lampkin gave to Patricia over the last 11 years of her life.

There will be a visitation at Naugle funeral Home on 1203 Hendricks Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32207, Thursday January 9 at 10am followed by a graveside service at Eliam cemetery in Melrose at 2pm.
