Regina D. Hartley, 69, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, March 30th, 2019. She was born on April 25, 1949, graduated from Andrew Jackson High School, and received her Bachelor's degree from Jacksonville University. She was a longtime member of Assumption Catholic Church.
Regina had a long career working for St. Vincent's Riverside Hospital in the laboratory, retiring in 2006. She preferred to spend time relaxing and swimming in a pool or being at the beach. She was a great cook; known for hosting parties with way too much food. She was an attentive, loving mother who attended countless sporting events, dance, swim meets, and was a Girl Scout leader. A fabulous bargain shopper, she rarely paid full price for anything. Regina enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially going to the symphony and other music/theater shows.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Edwin B. Hartley Jr., her parents, Willie Wilson and Gladys Odell Wilson, brothers Larry Wilson and Harold Wilson. Survivors include her children Natalie C. Keleher (Michael), Lori M. Hartley (Paul Brown), and Edwin B. Hartley III (Catherine); grandson Cameron E. Hartley, granddaughters Oona A. Keleher and Amelie R. Brown, Sister Patricia Lauramore (Ed), numerous other family members and friends.
Regina would request that you spend time with your children, tell your family and friends how much you love and care for them and make a toast to enduring friendships lifelong and beyond. She is in a better place walking and dancing again with her husband and all that have passed before her.
A vigil service will be held at Naugle Funeral Home (Hendricks) on Thursday at 5:00PM where the family will receive friends until 7:00PM. Catholic mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 5th at 10:00AM, Assumption Catholic Church, with Fr. Michael Hartley, celebrant.
