Renee Elizabeth Gallazzi Obituary
June 1, 1973 - February 19, 2023
Renee Gallazzi, 49, of Jacksonville, FL, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday morning at Baptist Community Hospice in downtown Jacksonville.
She was born on June 1, 1973 in Dayton, Ohio to Winfred and Ruth Brown. Immediately after graduating from Stebbins high school Renee enlisted in the Marine Corp where she was awarded top marksman during bootcamp. After honorably serving her country for 4 years she moved to Jacksonville Florida to attend Trinity Baptist College.
Renee loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all her heart and spent her life sharing the Gospel and God's love with all she encountered. As a young, single woman she obediently followed God's calling to the mission field after graduating from Trinity Baptist College where she spent time in Russia and Korea.
When she returned to Jacksonville from the mission field she fell in love and got married.
Shortly after she began teaching at Trinity Christian Academy and became a mother to the
pride and joy of her life, Gavin Gallazzi.
Renee encountered many trials in her life and was a consistent testimony to others in how she always put God first in her life, sought His will and was obedient to His calling. As a teacher at TCA she continually pushed herself to achieve more and went back to college to complete her Masters degree to prepare her to teach honors and AP chemistry classes. She loved teaching and thoroughly enjoyed Bible because she got to share God's word with hundreds of teenagers.
The final trial of her life, the battle against cancer, was one in which all who knew her watched her fight with a positive outlook and grace. In the midst of pain she always pointed to God and lifted others up.
Renee was survived by her loving son, Gavin Gallazzi; was married to Carmine Gallazzi, her mother & stepfather, Ruth and Bob Breitenstein, her brother, Terry L.E. Evans, her sister, Melissa S. Brown and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Winfred M. Brown, her paternal and maternal grandparents, her brother, Kenny W. Brown and nephew, Jody Brown.
The memorial arrangements for Renee E. Gallazzi will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, 800 Hammond Blvd in Jacksonville, FL on Thursday, February 23, 2023. The service will begin at 6pm with visitation open at 5 and a small reception for family and close friends in the Dining commons directly after the service.
