Richard James Kotrba, 74 of Jacksonville died peacefully July 26, 2015 after an extended illness. He was born to Thomas George and Emily (Strnad) Kotrba March 24, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the youngest of four children; brothers Tommy and Dennis, and sister Shirley. Richard served in the Navy as a Photographer's Mate Third Class in Washington, D.C. before moving to Gulfport, Florida. He moved to Gainesville before settling in Jacksonville. He was a photographer and a teacher. He is survived by his daughter Melissa Kotrba; granddaughter Katherine Kotrba; sister Shirley Tragasz; niece and nephew Susan and Roger Tragasz; and his good friend Doris Stetler. Special thanks to Sandy Hall for all of her kindness through the years. Richard's final resting place will be in the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
