Richard Michael Taylor
March 1, 1969 — February 14, 2023
Richard "Rick" Michael Taylor passed away peacefully on February 14,2023 surrounded by his daughters. He was born March 1, 1969 in Louisville, KY, son of Richard Taylor and Janet Ann Cecil.
Rick moved to Jacksonville, Fl in 1980 where he remained the rest of his life. He was the proud owner of JaxVacs, a sewing machine and vacuum repair shop that was previously located in Jacksonville Beach, and later converted to a mobile business. Weeks before his injury, Rick received his associates degree in Cyber Security from the University of Phoenix.
Rick is remembered by his family and friends as an amazing break dancer in his early years, and an amazing single father in his later years. He always expressed how proud he was of his 3 beautiful daughters, who were the most important part of his life. He also loved football, the Jags and Gators to be exact! Family, Friends and Football were a few of his favorite things!
Rick is predeceased by his mother Janet Ann Taylor. He is survived by his Father, Richard Taylor; his brother, Sean Taylor (Enid); his daughters, Stephanie Taylor (Juan), Sierra Heist (Doran), and Kimberly Taylor; his grand children, Madax, Astin and Kai; nephews Jonathan and Justin; and many cousins and dear friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11AM on March 1 at First Christian Church of the Beaches: 2125 Ocean Front, Neptune Beach, Fl. This will be a casual service in celebration of his life and birthday so please refrain from wearing dark colors.
