Bob is survived by his daughter Dana Clayton and son David Touchton (Donna). He had 4 Grandchildren; Bradley Clayton (Nicole), Erica Wolfe (RJ), Leeann Touchton, and Mackenzie Touchton (Chyna). He had 7 Great Grandchildren; Skyler, Hayden and Karsyn Wolfe, and Hannah, Eve, Lily and Piper Clayton. He was survived by his sister Elizabeth Melcolm and Brother in law Joseph Whitaker.


Bob was was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Belva. His father Willie Earl and mother Annie Miriam Purvis, His brother Billy Touchton, Brother Theo Touchton and Brother Dean Touchton.


Bob met the love of his life as a young teen, and was married by 19. He grew up on Jacksonville Florida with most of his time spent around the beaches. He loved the water and was an avid swimmer. After highschool he joined the Air Force and was stationed in New York and Louisiana. After his military service, he would return back home to Jacksonville's Westside where he would purchase his forever home to begin his life raising a family.
He had a passion for airplanes and would transition over to work for the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller.. he spent 46 years working for the FAA and loved everything about it. His passion for air traffic control influenced both his son and granddaughter into a career with the FAA.
Bob would retire from the FAA in the 90s and spend the rest of his years with his wife by his side. They enjoyed traveling, eating and spending time with family.
Throughout the years many friends and family would enter the doors of Bobs home, he would always have kind, positive words for them, a hug and a silly joke. Bob was given another name 40 years ago that would impact many more that entered his doors, Granddaddy. He was everyone's Granddaddy, and he loved that role more than anything else.




The Family has chosen to have a small graveside service at Riverside Memorial Park on Monday, April 17th at 11:00am.


In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested any donations sent to the Jacksonville Humane Society.
