Roman Siska

In the early afternoon of January 23, 2023, Roman Siska passed away peacefully at Community Hospice McGraw Center surrounded by his family and friends after a long battle to recover from injuries sustained at his work. Roman was 45 years old born on June 29, 1977 in Sternberk, Czech Republic to Jan Siska and Ivana Siskova. He grew up in Mladejovice, Czech Republic with his brother Jan and sister Iveta, his cousins, and neighborhood friends with whom he developed lifelong friendships.
At the age of 20, America became Roman's home away from home. He spent his time starting a family, working on projects, and enjoying good times with friends. Roman was a devoted father of two beautiful girls Emilie and Izabela. He raised them, together with their older sister Alyanna, and instilled in them a love for life, family, and friends.
He will be remembered by family and friends for his giving spirit, endearing smile, and signature laugh that could fill a room.
Roman is survived by his parents, Jan Siska and Ivana Siskova; brother Jan Siska; sister Iveta Siskova; and daughters Emilie Ivana Siska and Izabela Nikol Siska; Alyanna Nelson as well as beloved uncles; aunts; cousins; nieces; nephews; and his dear friends. Roman was predeceased by his beloved K9 companion Brit.
Family and friends are welcome to attend funeral mass Friday February 3, 1:00 p.m. at the Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 10472 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32246. Celebration of Life will be held afterward at the Parish Hall-Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.
