DeVol, Sarah S., 93, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013. She was born to Michael and Mary Lockhart on 2/12/1920 in Uniontown, PA and was the youngest of six siblings. Prior to enlisting in the US Navy in August, 1943, Sally was a public servant for the State of Pennsylvania. During her Naval service during World War II, she served at the Bureau of Ships and as a Staff Member of the Paymaster General under Admiral Young both in Washington DC. Sally was the first woman field agent for the Division of Commodities of the Family Services Division for the State of Florida. Sarah was predeceased by her husbands, William H. Sorrell and Harley Vernon DeVol. She is survived by her daughter, Mary C. Sorrell; her son, James H Sorrell (Margaret); granddaughters, Regan and Lindsey (David) and great-grandchildren, Josie, Emily and Lizzy.
