Stephen Christopher Johnson

Dr Stephen Christopher Johnson, beloved husband, son, brother, uncle and Naval Officer, was suddenly and unexpectedly taken from us on April 5, 2018. The fourth of six siblings was initially a high school drop out who never completed the ninth grade. He eventually finished his GED. From there he enlisted in to the United States Navy and became a Naval Corpsman. Upon his honorable discharge from the Navy he enrolled in community college after being inspired by his girlfriend and future spouse to continue his education. Initially unable to perform simple arithmetic, he very quickly excelled and then mastered his academic setting- graduating with honors from San Diego State University. He was then accepted to the Kansas City University of Medical and
Bio Sciences for medical school. It was during this time that he accepted a Navy Scholarship and commissioned as a Naval Officer. After graduating from medical school, again with honors, he continued his service to this country in a variety of positions as a Physician. Stephen's assignments included positions with the 1st Marine Division, Naval Special Warfare Group(Coronado), and as an instructor for Independent Duty Corpsman. He is survived by his beautiful wife Lynette, his parents Bruce and Barbara, his stepfather Wes, and his siblings Matthew, Tara, Rachel, Jennifer, and Gabriella. Stephen was a strong Christian and loved Jesus Christ with all of his heart.
