Theresa Regina Festagallo Steinert passed away unexpectedly on February 23, 2024. She was born on May 14, 1949 to Frank Festagallo and Dolores M. Festagallo in Annapolis, Md. She was their 5th child and the youngest completing the family. Her family relocated to Miami, Fl where she grew up with her four siblings; Marianne, Louis, Joan, and Antoinette. She met and grew up with Mark Thomas Steinert when they were both five years old, when his family moved into the apartment above their home. Unknowingly, he would become her future husband. Mark enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at the age of seventeen. After serving our country in Vietnam, and returning to Miami, they fell in love. Soon after, they got married, moved to Winter Park, Fl and started their family. Mark and she shared a lifetime of hard work, perseverance, laughter and love while raising their five children until Mark's passing in 2012. Theresa was a Vegetarian, and an avid advocate for animals all her life. She loved, respected and had an immense compassion for all creatures, furry, feathered, finned or slimy, whether they lived on land or in water. She encouraged that love, respect and compassion for all God's creatures to all who knew her, and to those who just met her. She excelled at all things that she had a passion for which included; but not limited to the environment, nature, cooking, shopping, jewelry, fashion, writing poems, all genres of music (except country), ladybugs, and using her Google Nest Assistant to gain information in all things that interested her. She loved sharing those passions with others. However her greatest passion in life was being a Mother, Grandma and Great Grandma, her love for her family was unyielding. Theresa is best described as a "force" in all the best ways:
F- fun, fascinating, fiery, fervent
O- observant, out spoken, one of a kind
R- resourceful, resilient, riveting, radiant
C- compassionate, creative, caring, curious
