Thomas Zhou Percy

Thomas Zhou Percy, 8, was called home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on May 30, 2017. Thomas was admired by many for his tenacity, courage, humor and infectious smile. He is survived by his parents James and Caroline of Jacksonville, FL; his grandparents Karen and Duane Cruttenden of Sebring, FL, and Jiashun Yang and Lanyin Hu of Kunming, China; aunts Meredith Booz (Percy) of Lansdale, PA, Michelle Percy of Greensburg, PA, Yangxia Zhou and Yangwei Zhou of Kunming, China; uncles Jonathan Percy of Greensburg, PA, Brett Percy of Harleysville, PA, Robert Booz of Lansdale, PA; cousins Katie, Sarah, David, Tin and Qianyu.
Born in Jacksonville, FL, Thomas was a loving and caring little boy who enjoyed all that life had to offer. Although limited physically, Thomas fully embraced life and often turned his imagination into reality creating robots from building blocks and painting outdoor scenes. An avid gardener and butterfly enthusiast, he enjoyed spending time outdoors with family and his many animal friends, including his dog, cat, ducks and chickens. Thomas also enjoyed the beach, swimming in the pool with friends and family, and caring for the fish and turtles in his pond. Gifted with a bright mind, Thomas recently completed the second grade where he excelled in math, science and writing, composing a number of poems and other short stories, as well as starting to read and write Chinese. Loving and compassionate by nature, his hugs and smile won the hearts of all those that met and worked with him during his short life. His passion for praying for the needs of others made him the spiritual bedrock of his family.
A celebration of Thomas’ life will be held Thursday, June 8th, 2017 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Percy family residence followed by a funeral service at 1:30 PM at Oaklawn Cemetery.
