William "Daddy Bull" Carroll
August 19, 1949 — May 14, 2016
In loving memory of William (Bill) Allen Carroll who returned home to be with our Heavenly Father on May 14, 2016 at the young age of 66. Bill battled with several illnesses for the better of 24 years and finally decided that his tiring fight had to come to an end.
Bill was born in Eufaula, Alabama on August 19, 1949 to the late Theresia Owen, and Wade Carroll. He is survived by his loving wife Tari Suttles Carroll, his eight children and a caboose, William wife Tracey, Vincent wife Rebecca, Merry, Lacey husband Harry, Riann, Matthew wife Danielle, Joseph, Whitney husband Carlos, caboose Jose, and his nineteen grandchildren. Also surviving are his three brothers, Jerry wife Devie, Jimbo wife Sherry, Danny wife Cathy, two sisters, Beverly husband Gary, Marsha husband Jay, and eleven nieces and nephews. Apart from Bill's immediate family he is survived by his brother and sister in laws, Randy, Steve wife Jane, Greg wife Lynda, Deanna, Marti husband David, and all of his ten surviving neice and nephews. In addition to his wonderful family, Bill leaves behind his beloved furry campanions, Meeko and Romeo.
After almost fourteen years working for the railroad, Bill moved into an official's position, retiring completely from the railroad in 1992. Shortly after he began, what would be, his 24 year battle with illness. In those 24 years, Bill demonstrated such courage and strength, and although he was so sick he never let that deter him from his testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Bill loved Alabama football, but above that he absolutely loved his family with all his being. Bill had an enormous extended family, outside of his family, those he would have indefinitely claimed as his own. He had a love for Western films, and eagles, and loved telling stories, and playing jokes. Bill was an amazing man, a loving husband, a dedicated father, a wonderful brother, son, and friend. No one could ever compare. Bill will be missed by many, loved by all, and will always remain in their hearts. Until we meet again Daddy Bull, we love you.
