William Lee Dearing, Jr.

William Lee Dearing, Jr. (Bill) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 102 after a short illness.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Cecelia Mruz Dearing, his parents, Winifred and William Lee Dearing, Sr, and brother, Raymond Dearing.

He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Dearing, his son, Mark Dearing as well as 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Bill was born in Chattanooga, TN. He served honorably in WWII achieving the rank of Technical Sergeant in the Signal Corps in the European Theater. This Army branch managed communications during WWII.

After Bill was discharged, he worked for Ford Motor Company, American Motors, and Chrysler Corporation. He held various marketing and administrative positions in several zone offices as well as in corporate headquarters.

When Bill retired, he loved to travel with Cecelia, play golf and keep up with college and professional football. His wisdom and wit will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
