William (Bill) S. Pless - On July 27, 2020 Bill's journey on earth ended and he entered the loving arms of our Lord and Savior. Bill was born on October 5, 1940 to the parents of Thomas and Eloise Pless. He is survived by one brother, Charlie Pless, one daughter, Cindy Pless Mackert, four sons: Marshall, David, Tracy, and Joel Pless, seven grandchildren: Sean, Brandon, Brooke, Jessica, Samantha, Jaden and Joshua as well as two great grandchildren: Ezlyn and Cian. He is preceded in death by his son Terry (56), grandson David Jr. (32) and son-in-law Kenny Mackert (73).

At a young age Bill entered the seminary and served his internship as a Pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church of Deland, Florida. He moved back to Jacksonville, Florida to serve as Associate Pastor, Deacon, and Youth Minister of several local churches. His love of country and gospel music lead him to play in several local Southern Gospel Groups. After retiring from a lifelong love of carpentry, some of his favorite hobbies were wood crafting, painting, and metal detecting. He was always looking for an excuse to go fishing his entire life. He enjoyed passing his beliefs and his life skills to his family. His love of family is forever enduring and will be missed.

According to Bill's wishes, a graveside service will be held on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 10:00 am at Holly Hills Memorial Park, 3601 Old Jennings Rd, Middleburg, Fl 32068. Directly following the service his family and friends are invited to gather at Wylee and Brooke Wheeler's home at 2235 State Road 230E, Starke Fl. 11:00 am 4:00 pm for fellowship and a celebration of his life over a pot luck lunch. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to JDRF.org for the research for a cure of diabetes, a cause close to Bill's heart which he monitored closely.
